Bloch Maurice

Ο Maurice Bloch σπούδασε Κοινωνική Ανθρωπολογία στα Πανεπιστήμια London School of Economics και Cambridge της Αγγλίας. Καθηγητής Κοινωνικής Ανθρωπολογίας στο London School of Economics. Έχει δημοσιεύσει σημαντικά έργα για τις τελετουργίες και τη σχέση τους με την ιστορία, για τη σχέση ανθρωπολογίας και μαρξισμού, καθώς και για γνωσιακή ανθρωπολογία. Κυριότερα έργα του: "Placing the Dead: Tombs, Ancestral Villages, and Kinship Organization in Madagascar" (1971), "Political Language, Oratory and Traditional Society" (επιμ.)
