Η Λίνα Μπαλαρή - Πετριανίδη γεννήθηκε στην Κομοτηνή, μεγάλωσε στην Θεσσαλονίκη και ζει στην Αθήνα. Σπούδασε Αγγλική Φιλολογία στο Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης και διδάσκει Αγγλική Γλώσσα στο Εθνικό Μετσόβιο Πολυτεχνείο. Η ποιητική συλλογή "Μυστική Αρμονία" είναι η πρώτη της. Ποιήματά της έχουν δημοσιευθεί στα περιοδικά "Φιλολογική Πρωτοχρονιά", "Ρέμα των Ιδεών" και "Κουάριους".
